Dr. Evans Silavwe is the Chief Executive Officer of INFRATEL Corporation Limited. He provides strategic leadership over INFRATEL’s telecommunications towers, Tier III Data Centres, cloud platforms, and digital infrastructure services that support Zambia’s digital transformation agenda.

With over 20 years of senior leadership experience in the ICT and telecommunications sector, Dr. Silavwe has led large-scale infrastructure development, digital platform expansion, and organisational transformation across both technical and executive roles. His expertise spans digital infrastructure strategy, Data Centres and cloud services, network resilience, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology platforms, combined with a strong focus on governance, performance, and sustainable growth.

Dr. Silavwe holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and a Master of Science (MSc) in Communications Engineering from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Zambia.

He is a Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ), a Fellow of the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ), and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
