Where competitive spirits meet collaborative hearts
The roar of cheering crowds. The thunder of racing feet. The joy of friendly competition. For one day, INFRATEL transformed into an Olympic arena where colleagues became teammates and unity took center stage.
The INFRATEL Olympics 2025 was more than a contest of goals scored, or races won. As part of My INFRATEL, My Pride and the celebration of The Power of One, the event highlighted what drives us forward every day: excellence, teamwork, and determination.
From football to volleyball, from relays to the egg and sack races, the games brought out both skill and spirit. Laughter mixed with strategy, and light-hearted moments balanced out the intensity of competition. The field became a stage where hidden talents emerged, and bonds were strengthened through shared effort.
What stood out most was not the medals or the trophies, but the sense of unity that grew stronger as the day unfolded. Teams that rarely work together in the office found themselves running side by side. Colleagues who may only exchange emails became cheerleaders for one another. Across every match and every race, barriers faded and the INFRATEL family grew closer.
The victories that mattered most went far beyond the scoreboard. Employees embraced wellness in action, taking time to engage in physical activity that promoted both health and wellbeing. Inclusion shone through as every participant, regardless of athletic ability, found a place in the games. Leadership surfaced in surprising moments, with interns and young staff stepping forward to guide their teams. Most of all, the day reinforced our unity, celebrating diversity while strengthening our shared identity.
The determination we saw on the field is the same energy that connects Zambia every day. The strategy that fueled a football match is the same approach that guides our network expansion. The focus of a relay runner is the same precision we apply to technical challenges. The spirit that carried a sack race across the finish line is the spirit that drives exceptional service for our customers.
As we build toward INFRATEL’s anniversary on September 19, the Olympics remind us that our greatest infrastructure is not made of towers or fiber networks, but of people. When individual talents unite behind one goal, when diverse strengths merge into one team, we see the true meaning of the Power of One.
