  • Cloud Acceptable Usage Policy

The INFRATEL Cloud Acceptable Usage Policy (CAUP) forms part of the cloud services agreement and defines what is considered responsible and lawful use of INFRATEL’s network and infrastructure. INFRATEL may update the policy and has sole discretion to interpret and enforce it.

The policy strictly prohibits illegal activities (such as fraud, threats, Ponzi schemes and other crimes), offensive or harmful content (including content contrary to the Cybercrimes Act, violent or hateful material, child pornography, and content that infringes intellectual property or privacy), and any form of denial‑of‑service (DoS/DDoS) attack. It also bans server abuse, including unauthorized access, hacking, tampering with security, spreading malware or viruses, and interfering with other users’ services.

Customers may not run IRC services, proxies, game servers, or use the platform for phishing, distribution of malware, HYIP/Ponzi schemes, or unauthorized vulnerability scanning of INFRATEL systems. Use of IP addresses is restricted to those assigned by INFRATEL, and if those IPs are blacklisted due to a customer’s activities, INFRATEL may suspend or terminate services.

The policy applies strict anti‑spam and email rules: no bulk mail to more than 250 recipients, no unsolicited emails, no obscuring of message sources, and INFRATEL may act on abuse complaints or blacklisting, including terminating mail or other services. UseNet spam and abuse of UseNet services via INFRATEL’s network are also prohibited.

Customers must keep valid contact details with their domain registrar, must not interfere with INFRATEL’s administrative access tools on servers, and are responsible for ensuring that any resold or downstream customers comply with the CAUP. INFRATEL may disclose customer information to law enforcement when served with valid legal process, and provides a defined abuse reporting and resolution process that ranges from initial tickets to possible suspension and data destruction for serious or unresolved violations, with no SLA credits for interruptions caused by CAUP breaches.
